Welcome, Dr. Swanson!

We’re excited to announce that Dr. Jacob Swanson has joined the Advanced Audiology Associates team! Dr. Swanson is joining us after serving a year in the audiology department at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, where he focused especially on pediatric evaluation and electrophysiology as well as working with adults and hearing aids. His biggest draw to audiology, however, has always been in adult diagnostics and amplification, so he’s excited to be working with adult patients at Advanced Audiology Associates to help them achieve their hearing needs!

Dr. Swanson has lived in the St. Louis area since May 2019. He is originally from Big Rapids, MI and has worked in university clinic, ENT, private practice, mobile audiology, geriatric, and pediatric settings in Michigan. Outside of his work as an audiologist, Dr. Swanson is very involved in the performing arts, having performed with community wind bands and choirs both in the St. Louis area and in Michigan, and has also performed in at least 19 plays and musicals since 2004. He is an active member of his church in University City, loves a good hike, and is currently obsessed with tiny apartment living (even though, he admits, he would probably never survive in one).

As Dr. Pettis begins seeing more Veterans for hearing testing in Colorado in the coming months, Dr. Swanson will begin seeing more hearing aid patients in Valley Park. He is excited to meet you and help you on your journey to hearing health!
